Crisis Center of West Texas' reStart promotes change to an individual’s mentality based on realization and accountability. We challenge individuals to take responsibility for their actions and to choose to have healthy relationships without violence.

reStart addresses the cycle of abuse and the sources of abusive behavior, including self-esteem and insecurities.

reStart, our Battering Intervention and Prevention Program, meets the Texas State Guidelines for BIPP and has been approved by the Texas Council on Family Violence within the following framework:

Intake and Orientation:

Intake and orientation consist of a two hour session with Crisis Center of West Texas' reStart Coordinator. This includes questions about the incident(s) and relationship(s) that brought you to reStart, and an overview of the program structure and expectations.

Group Sessions:

Group sessions are 24 weeks in length. Both men's and women's groups are weekly, two-hour classes facilitated by trained Crisis Center of West Texas staff.

Men's reStart: Sundays from 2-4 PM or 5-7 PM

  • CPS, Parole, or Probation - ordered attendees
    • Intake & Orientation: $60
    • Group Sessions: $30 each
  • Voluntary attendees
    • Intake & Orientation: $30
    • Group Sessions: $10 each

Women's reStart: Wednesdays from 6-8 PM

  • CPS, Parole, or Probation - ordered attendees
    • Intake & Orientation: $40
    • Group Sessions: $20 each
  • Voluntary attendees
    • Intake & Orientation: $20
    • Group Sessions: $5 each
