Who will I talk to on the hotline?
You will talk to an Intake Advocate located at Louise Wood Angel House in Odessa. These advocates are trained CCWTX staff who will ask you a few questions about your situation.
Can I call the office instead?
You may call our administrative office, but administrative staff are only available for limited questions. Survivors seeking services will be transferred to a hotline advocate.
Is the hotline available in other languages?
Yes. Many of our staff speak Spanish, and we have access to translators in most languages.
Is the hotline available on holidays?
Yes. The hotline is always staffed – 24/7, 365.
Can I call for my friend or family member?
You may call our administrative office or hotline to ask questions about services, but only the survivor can set up services or answer questions to see if they qualify for the shelter.
Is the hotline free?
Yes! The hotline is free of charge.
What happens after I call?
After you talk to an Intake Advocate, they will take steps to get you into our shelter or schedule the services you need. Staff will walk you through the process to get to Louise Wood Angel House or you will be contacted by a counselor or case manager about setting up your first appointment.
Do I have to work with the police?
No. You do not need a police report or any contact with law enforcement in order to speak to an Intake Advocate or receive our services.
You may work with law enforcement and staff is available to help navigate police reports and other legal matters, but it is not required.
Can I text the hotline?
No, the hotline does not accept text messages at this time.
