Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in supporting Crisis Center of West Texas with your time and talents. Volunteerism is a core value at CCWTX, and we are always searching for highly motivated volunteers to join us in our mission. During the COVID-19 pandemic, volunteer opportunities are very limited. We appreciate your patience while we find safe ways to connect with volunteers.

We provide a wide variety of services and benefit from a diverse group of volunteers. See below for some potential opportunities, but please note that our volunteer needs are always changing.

SERVICE & SUPPORT ROLES

CCWTX has a variety of ongoing volunteer needs that play an important role in supporting our work. These opportunities include event set-up, cleaning, basic repairs, facilities maintenance, filing, and organizing donations. These roles are a great fit for individuals seeking to fulfill court-ordered community service requirements, as well as students or young people looking to gain experience while giving back to their community.

SARA

Our Crisis Response Team (CRT) members provide support and advocacy for survivors of sexual assault at the hospital after an assault is reported. CRT members complete 40 hours of Sexual Assault Certification Training, including 8 hours of shadowing a veteran member.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

CCWTX's Prevention Team facilitates educational presentations throughout the community. Trained volunteers have the opportunity to attend health fairs and give presentations to students and community members on topics such as healthy relationships, dating violence, and bullying.

Our mission is to respond, shelter, and educate to end domestic and sexual violence in West Texas. We believe everyone deserves a safe and healthy relationship, and we work every day to make that a reality for men, women, and children in the Permian Basin and beyond.
